The British Hospital has always been known as an “open” hospital, offering its doctors and the wide range of services and infrastructure to private patients and third parties.
Therefore private patients may arrange an appointment with any of the doctors on the Hospital List as well as use the medical services as private patients or through the international insurance they may have.
Most of our medical and administrative staff are fluent in English so are able to help foreigners and transit passengers.
You should contact the Call Centre for Appointments (Tel. 2487 1020 ext. 2740) to make an appointment to see any doctor on the Hospital List. In this way you will be registered for any future contact you may have with the Hospital.
For clinical examinations (Laboratory, Radiology, Endoscope, etc.) you should go to the corresponding department with the order from your doctor.
There you will be informed about the preparations required (if any).
Our Emergency Department may also be used by private patients. If they should wish to do so in case of an emergency they should go straight to the Emergency Department area where they will be informed what they should do.
The Admissions Department arranges for hospitalization ordered by a doctor (whether on the Hospital List or not). It makes the reservation and will give you all information and conditions for each specific case.
