The Intensive Care Unit, or ICU, is for rigorous care of adult patients. It has highly trained staff and is fully equipped with up-to-date technology, having capacity for 11 patients in need of critical or “intermediate” care.
The latest equipment allows the permanent monitoring of the patient - in a closed area - by the doctors, all specialists in intensive care.
The nursing staff is trained in specialised care of critical patients as well as intercommunication with their families.
As the patients are in enclosed areas, the visiting hours depend on each patient’s condition and the type of the treatment given.
