100 successful interventions with Robot Da Vinci

In September Robot Da Vinci completed 100 operations in compliance with the international standards. The equipment was set in 2012 and since then the British Hospital has developed a very successful program led by Prof. Dr. Fernando Abarzúa, medical instructor of the Robotic Surgery of our Institution and of the Harthford Hospital of Conecticut of the United States, together with Drs. Roberto Puente and Gustavo Malfatto, consecrating ourselves as the first Robotic Surgery Center of our country. Robotic Surgery is a technological advance that offers minimally invasive surgery, enabling high precision movements which result difficult for human hand. Robotic intervention is performed by a surgeon through a device with robotic arms that controls the camera and the instruments which are introduced in the patient, allowing the surgical team an insight which is ten times magnified, that together with the precision of the movements make the same safe and accurate procedure. We invite you to read the following article by the newspaper EL PAÍS in commemoration of the 100 surgeries performed by Robot Da Vinci and by the British Hospital Surgery Robotic team.  Read the article
