Endoscopy Unit
The unit has a specialised team trained and committed to addressing the patients’ diverse conditions.
The Digestive Endoscopy department is under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daniel Taullard and a team of highly acknowledged and trained professionals.
The service specialises in diagnosing and treating conditions of the oesophagus, stomach, duodenum, colon, biliary tract and pancreas.
It is equipped with cutting-edge technology for both the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.
The unit uses advanced video endoscopy systems with magnification and electronic image enhancement, improving visualisation and enabling a more accurate diagnosis of lesions throughout the digestive tract.
These tools also allow tissue sampling for biopsies and therapeutic procedures to treat conditions that previously required surgery, either replacing or sometimes complementing surgical interventions.
This requires ongoing training in order to keep up with the constant innovation of these techniques.
