World Sleep Day

The third Friday of March of each year the World Sleep Day (el Día Mundial del Sueño) is celebrated, this year under the motto "Sleep deeply, strengthens life," the campaign aims to raise awareness to people with sleep disorders, promoting prevention, education and a better understanding of problems related to sleep, which affect health and the life quality of the one who sufferers it. Deep sleep is one of the three supports of good health together with a balanced diet and regular exercise. There are approximately 100 sleep disorders, however, most of them are treatable by Sleep Medicine Specialists. People with an uninterrupted deep sleep, experience lower rates of high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and other chronic diseases.
