International Alzheimer's Day

On the 21st of September, the International Alzheimer's Day is celebrated (World Alzheimer's Day), a date that was chosen by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Alzheimer's Federation (ADI). During this day, activities are carried out to raise awareness and promote prevention this mental illness, which is considered the new epidemic of the 21st century.

 

The British Hospital goal is to be part of this movement, to make the disease known and disseminate the information. It is a way of awareness, and assuming that it is a problem of the whole society.

 

Alzheimer's affects not only the patient, but also their closest environment, family, caregivers, friends.
